Role Summary/Purpose

Work Location: BudapestAs part of our growing Finance team, you will be an integral part of our Global Operations Center in Budapest, Hungary. As an Operational Controllership Manager, you will lead the BD/Equity team, responsible for the overall consolidation and closing process for the $20B Healthcare segment, ensuring complete and accurate consolidation of GE Healthcare’s financial results.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the separation of the Healthcare segment as needed, specifically as it relates to the deconsolidation of the Healthcare segment from General Electric company;
  • Ultimate responsibility for the close & consolidation process for the $20B GE Healthcare segment’s 300+ company codes to ensure complete and accurate consolidation of financial results, including but not limited to compliance with US GAAP, GE GAP;
  • Lead the BD/Equity team responsible for coordination of the regional closing and reporting activities, accounting for any cross business transactions impacting the Healthcare segment, and submission of the USDRQ (trial balance) to Corporate;
  • Global coverage for preparing XBiz schedule, we are the first point of contact with International Transaction Team, Global Tax and Treasury Team in this process;
  • Provide support for the separation of the Healthcare segment as needed, specifically as it relates to the deconsolidation of the Healthcare segment from General Electric company;
  • Reviewing all Historical Balance Request (HBR) for HC business;
  • Clearing Affiliate Current Account (ACA) fails during quarterly close;
  • Managing 5 Non-Controlling Interests and 2 equity method investments and providing data for the Global Controllership Team;
  • Provide technical accounting support for all equity related transactions (mergers, acquisitions, liquidations);
  • Managing quarterly Goodwill walk;
  • Actively support and drive company initiatives impacting closing and reporting activities for the Healthcare segment, including the Corporate RASR implementation (Corporate ES HFM implementation);
  • Serve as a primary contact and support internal (CAS) and external audit projects for the Healthcare segment, including requests related to carve out audit related to the Healthcare separation;
  • Proactively identify potential risks & opportunities and communicate effectively. Interpret finance risks & opportunities to local circumstances & present workable solutions;
  • Team is responsible for managing the financial close (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ensuring that all the corporate submissions are done correctly and in a timely manner;
  • Reviewing the Account Reconciliation for the equity related accounts;
  • Managing financial analysis of balance sheet accounts for the Consol entities;
  • Co-ordination with business Finance stakeholders on closing activities and financial reporting routine.

  • Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance and significant progressive accounting or finance experience;
  • Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner;
  • Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas;
  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations;
  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others;
  • Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills;
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment;
  • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to meet commitments within strict deadlines;
  • Good computer Literacy: MS Office, particularly Excel;
  • Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, US GAAP, IFRS knowledge is also an advantage;
  • SSCHU.
